Clearfelt is a game for iPhone and iPad made by Chris C Campbell LLC. This policy covers the app and this website.

Playing on your own

Clearfelt has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. When you play against the computer, nothing leaves your device. Your name at the table, settings, chips, progress, stats, hand history and any picture you choose are stored only on your device so the game can pick up where you left off. Deleting the app deletes them.

Your picture

You can choose a picture from your photo library to show at your seat. Clearfelt only sees the one picture you pick (the system photo picker handles the rest) and keeps a copy on your device. It doesn't use your camera or microphone.

Online tables with friends

When you create or join an online table, the app connects to our table server (run on Cloudflare) and sends what the game needs: a random ID made by the app (not linked to you or your device), the name you play under, your actions at the table and, only if "Show my picture to friends" is on, a small 96-pixel copy of your picture. The other people at that table see your name, your picture if you share it, and how you play. The server keeps a table only while it's in use: it's deleted once everyone has left and there's been no activity for six hours (two hours after a game ends). There is no chat; reactions are a fixed set of emoji. You can hide another player's picture or report a player from their seat, and the host can remove a player.

Purchases

The one optional purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details; Apple only tells the app whether the purchase is owned so it can unlock it.

Children

Clearfelt is rated for adults 18 and over and isn't directed at children.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The deck checker on the Fairness page runs in your browser; what you paste into it isn't sent anywhere.
